Marc Hartman

Marc Hartman (1966-2024) was a Dutch DJ, producer, and musician from Utrecht. His talent and passion were evident in his many contributions to Radio Stad. Each year, we proudly aired his Italo Summer megamixes. For many years, Marc also created exclusive mixes for RSDH, which aired during our Freaky Friday show, and he often made a special RSDH Top 100 year mix.

His weekly ‘APK mix’ premiered every Saturday evening on the national radio station ‘Radio 10’ during Sven’s Classics show. We had the honor of airing his latest APK mix the very next day during our Sunday Night Live show at around 10:30 p.m. This tradition continued for many years.

Marc described his ‘APK mix’ as a way of “tuning up” classic tracks, similar to a periodic vehicle inspection (APK in Dutch). He breathed new life into the music, sometimes blending tracks, re-recording them, and even playing the instruments himself while keeping the original vocals. Since these short mixes only aired twice a week, we are now sharing them here to ensure Marc’s incredible work will live on.

Marc passed away far too soon, on August 24th, 2024. His legacy endures through his music. Enjoy!
