Dit word weer een Stad Weekend om van te smullen! Zondagavond zijn we er met de Non-Italo Top 30 en je bent dan ook getuige van een Stad BBQ met live verslag en presentatie vanuit de riante Stad Tuin… Sateetje Pindasaus en een pilsje erbij! Maar vrijdagavond luidt Michiel van der Brugge op geheel eigen wijze (en dat is hij) het weekend in! Komt dat zien… komt dat zien!!
Only a few days to go guys and then we launch the non italo Top 30 compiled by our listeners! At the end of the year we allways present our unique Italo top 100. But…. Radio Stad in the 80 ‘s played much more then Italo and High energy only. Radio Stad whas also known for playing the best import disco, new wave, synth-pop and funk & soul from all over the world which you did not hear frequently on the legal Dutch radio stations. So as an ode to those days we give to you this Sunday september 11th the Disco top 30 charts.
What also triggered us to do so whas that our good friend Alan Chan of Roller disco records in London has send us 20 copies of a limited cd mixed by Flemming Dalum. This mix is exclusive to the label and cannot be found anywhere online to download. The cd includes many rare Italo records including a beautifull track by Katia of which there are only 3 known copies out there at the moment. Personally i am very fond of 80′s and late 70′s disco… therefor it was very hard to find the right clip to accompany this blog. And even at the moment i write this, i still have my doubts… Shall i post Freeze?..Indeep? Change..? or COD maybe? But what about Bronsky Beat…Miro Miro, Cowley, Lipss Inc and Man Parrish…. Pffffff very hard, especially because we want a Clip with it, and not all songs have one.
Well, after many cigarettes and a few wines i made up my mind…
K.I.D. it will be and A peace of the action. Not the best sound, not the best clip. But what this song does is, it wants my feet wanna move, it makes me even more happy then i allready am and it absolutely has a positive vibe, exactly what we need on a day like 9/11….
So people! Give it to us, we know its hard to choose but you can allways sent in more lists, under aka or alias haha, Edward will probably not notice that and he has the hard task to make, out of all your top tens, the ultimate Non Italo Top 30!

Het was weer zondagavond live met je radiovriendjes. Herman had elders iets te vieren, maar Gwen, Michiel, Han en Edward waren wel te horen. Verder zaten de chat en de mailbox lekker vol en had de platentas een afwisselende vulling. Helaas is er in de studio iets misgegaan, waardoor de show niet terug te kijken is, maar gelukkig hebben we wel de audio opname ter download en via de PODcast.

Er zijn al diverse edities geweest en die waren stuk voor stuk een waar feestje. Afgelopen zondag waren de organisatoren Peter en Bart al te gast in de studio om dit feest te promoten.
