I had this idea a long time ago, now I want to ask you:

If you had the chance to design your own Italo Disco Cover, what would it look like?

I know there are a lot of talented people out there who can do this, i.e. Mike Balandrano, who designed the cover for “George Aaron – Fear”. Absolutely fantastic work!

But I want to make it easy. Use a simple Graphics program, choose a title, take a background image that matches the mood of your title and choose a fantasy singer name.

I like the Italo Disco covers of the 80s a lot. I think they're more beautiful than todays covers.

EDIT:

I was in the mood for writing some lyrics for my cover (although I don't know exactly how to do this technically). I hope you understand the meaning.

It's some kind of romantic/sad Italo Disco song in Valerie Dore style, who I adore very much.

Hoi mario,

I had exactly the same idea as you. When I saw Michiel as Divine, I immediately thought our lovely Gwen could perform as Valerie Dore  Though Valerie Dore has a very high voice, but that doesn't matter at all.

Oh, you really mean Susy would sing it?

It wasn't intended this way. I think my lyrics are not good yet (there is much more work needed on really good lyrics) and I'm no songwriter. They were just thoughts that came up when I made the covers, and the covers were only a kind of game.

Monika Novak and Sally Shapiro have beautiful voices and I like their songs.

I already mailed Johan (producer behind Sally Shapiro) and gave him the lyrics as inspiration for a new song on the next album. I haven't received any reply from him yet.

It's an amazing idea that the fans who love Italo Disco write lyrics and our beloved Italo Disco queens and kings sing these.

I haven't collected many vinyls yet, but they're more or less all Italo Disco and High Energy from the 80s. Sometimes I go to fairs and buy records to extend my collection. It's so exciting to find old Italo Disco treasures  Besides Valerie Dore and Sally Shapiro I enjoy hearing Lime, Silent Circle and Scotch.

Yes, I live in Germany, Wiesbaden (which is near Frankfurt)

I also like the sound of sandra…….and as a smolll child it was the frst artist i also like

in another way……..perfect look,with a great sound and voice , michael cretu,

nice detail……….for a month i discover huberth kah with the song “the picture”

so great song and i was luky to get it in to my collection and i saw at the back that it was produced by michael cretu the same as the producer of songs of sandra.

Silent sircle -touch in the night thats also one of my favorites.

In germany the have made a lot of good songs , like mike mareen,michael bedfort……..

the also have made zyx ………….i'm greatfull that the broght out so much italo's.

I also like the sound of Hotsound records…………..when i was 15 year i go often to rotterdam

where you have hotsound records shop and buy records………….now it doesn't is there any more,

but every time i am in that street ………..i still see the place where once it all started with hotsound,

and for a lot of people a lot of import records.

For a view years ago i was in Aachen in germany ……….and there was a small second hand records

shop ,and he has a lot of zyx from the 80″s ………….the shop is now gone…………it;s a shame a lot

of thoose old record shops stops
